    Soltech IT provides a comprehensive range of IT services and hands-on ICT / computing support to over 700 business and education (primary schools) clients across the South West of England. We put the needs of our clients first, taking care of all of their technology needs.

    We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual to work alongside a colleague providing a range of installation services to our clients.


    This role may be suitable for a recent school leaver or someone looking to start a new career.


    The role will entail the following duties


    Fitting l interactive screens such as BenQ, Viewsonic, SMART, Promethean, Samsung, Clevertouch, CTouch, Optoma, Samsung etc

    Fitting of projection systems with audio

    Data cabling – Cat 5e and Cat 6

    CCTV installation

    What you’ll need:


    Confident in the use of power and hand tools (drills, screwdrivers etc)

    Capable of working on ladders and scaffold (Training provided)

    Additional info:


    Early starts and occasional late finishes may be required.

    Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.


    In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £13,000 and £18,000 negotiable for the right person.

    We are looking to recruit  a trainee sales consultant to work with, and support our sales team. (School leavers accepted)


    Reporting to the Sales Director, the trainee's primary role will be to support the sales team in selling IT products, solutions and services to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service. 


    Main Role & Responsibilities


    • Deal with incoming enquires to include processing sales orders.
    • Contact customers using different media to secure additional business.
    • Prepare quotations for customers as requested.
    • Preparation and co-ordination of sales and marketing materials and collateral

    Personal Specification:

    • You will have an interest in IT.
    • You will have good verbal communication skills.
    • You will have good general IT skills and a basic understanding of spreadsheets.
    • You will be reliable and disciplined.
    • You will be keen to learn and self-motivated.
    • You should be confident and feel comfortable conversing with customers and potential customers on the telephone, via email
    • You will be team spirited, but also be able to work on your own.
    • You will be enthusiastic, ambitious and results focused.

    The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding check.

    We are looking to recruit a n Apprentice Helpdesk Technician to join our support team. This role may suit a school lever or someone looking to for a change of career. The successful candidates will be comfortable in providing IT support to either a business or education focused client base.


    Individuals will be passionate about IT, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires the successful candidate to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to our customers.


    Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.


    In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £13,000 and £18,000 negotiable for the right person.

    We are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced individual to provide field based IT support to our education client base.


    The successful candidate will also be involved in project installations. This may involve assisting in the deployment laptops or PC's, installing WiFi, assisting project engineers with server installations and migrations, and much more.


    Individuals will be passionate about IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires the successful candidate to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to our customers.


    Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.


    Previous experience of working within education would be beneficial, but not essential.


    The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding check. Due to the requirement to visit client sites, you must be able to drive and have your own vehicle to be considered for this role.


    In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £26,000 and £28,000 negotiable for the right person.

    • Fitting large interactive screens such as BenQ, Viewsonic, SMART, Promethean Clevertouch, CTouch, Optoma etc
    • Fitting of projection systems with audio
    • Data cabling – Cat 5e and Cat 6
    • Door entry system installations
    • CCTV installation

    What you’ll need:


    • Cabling experience or willing to learn
    • Confident in the use of power and hand tools (drills, screwdrivers etc)
    • Capable of working on ladders and scaffold
    • Full clean driving licence would be advantageous
    • CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate) would be advantageous
    • Elevated Work Platform / Scissor Lift certification would be advantageous

    Additional info:


    • Early starts and occasional late finishes may be required.
    • As would occasional weekend work (overtime paid)

    Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.


    In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £22,000 to £26,000 negotiable for the right person.

    In addition, all business miles and expense will be paid for by the company, where a company van is not provided.
