Overview


Soltech IT provides a comprehensive range of IT services and hands-on ICT / computing support to over 700 business and education (primary schools) clients across the South West of England. We put the needs of our clients first, taking care of all of their technology needs.

We are looking to recruit three dedicated and experienced individuals to provide field based IT support to our Primary school clients in the area's stated above.


This will include regular scheduled on-site support visits, responding to a range of IT and networking requests from teachers and staff and participation in project work within schools.


Individuals will be passionate about IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires the successful candidate to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to our customers.


Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.


A good range of experience sought for the majority of the following solutions.


  • Microsoft 365 issue resolution and management
  • Google Workspace issue resolution and management
  • Windows server administration and setup inc. Active Directory & Group Policies
  • Networking, Firewalls and Filtering, DNS, DHCP
  • Onsite and remote technical support
  • Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Mac OS’s
  • Printing and printer management software
  • Remote access and VPN technologies
  • MDM experience
  • Some experience of Azure Technologies - Sharepoint, OneDrive, InTune
  • Hardware repairs (component replacement)
  • cPanel (basic admin)


The role is offered on a Full-Time or Term Time basis. The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding check. Due to the requirement to visit client sites, you must be able to drive and have your own vehicle to be considered for this role.


In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £25,000 and £27,000 negotiable for the right person. Benefits include a company pension, company bonus and commission schemes, free on-site parking, laptop or MacBook and 20 holiday per year, plus additional holiday during the Christmas / New Year period. In addition, all business miles and expense will be paid for by the company
