Award - The Chair's Community Awards - Donations

The Chair of BANES. Finalist Chairs Community Award 2017/18

In February 2018, Soltech IT was recognised for it's continued donations of IT equipment to schools and it's work within education, by being nominated for the Business Award as part of the Chair's Community Awards 2017/18.

The Chair's Community Awards celebrates the positive contributions made within the local community over the past 12 months.

Sara Dixon from the Communities Team at Bath & North East Somerset Council, commented " The Chair of the Bath & North East Somerset Council organise an annual Awards evening to celebrate the good work in the community. Soltech were nominated for their work throughout the UK and in particular their support for Bath and North East Somerset schools with donations of computer equipment to schools, helping schools gain grant funding and providing schools with curriculum loan boxes for free"

Soltech IT, Managing Director, Richard Sheppard explained "In recent years we have donated over £75,000 of IT equipment to schools and have worked with schools to help them gain more than £500,000 in grant funding. It's our way of giving something back to the schools, the children and the wider community".

Despite not winning the award, the team at Soltech IT were delighted to be named as a finalist along with other community focused businesses from across the south west of England.
