Apple have targeted educational establishments with iOS 9.3, introducing three new and exciting features. Today we look at Shared iPads.

Apple have targeted educational establishments with iOS 9.3, introducing three new and exciting features.

Shared iPads

iOS 9.3 includes a new shared iPads feature which allows students to enter their own Apple ID on to any iPad owned by the school. The iPad will then download the users data and applications. iOS 9.3 uses smart caching technology to make the experience as fast as possible.

Apple has added two great new features: - Photo ID, displaying the student’s own photo on the screen of the iPad and a four-digit pin option for students who don’t yet have the dexterity type a username and password.

Shared iPad in use

This means staff no longer, need to worry about manually creating user accounts. Simply use the associated user to do things like track a student’s progress or award badges and trophies for achievements.
