Using Apple School Manager is a school based mobile device management (MDM) system, designed to allow teachers and staff to control every iPad in their school.

Apple School Manager allows the set up and management of school specific Apple IDs for teachers, students, and administrative staff, keeping their Apple IDs separate from their home accounts.

You can also purchase apps and books remotely and apply them to individual iPads or groups of iPads. The main benefit of this is that your schools education discount (VPP) will be automatically applied upon purchase.
