2025 will see Soltech IT continue to donate IT equipment to school's throughout the Southwest as part of our 'Giving Back To Schools' donation campaign.
We were delighted to be able to donate more than £15,000 of 65" and 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreens to six local schools and MAT's.
Gareth Jones, commented "As a business it's great to be able to give something back to schools, be they a customer or not. Our most recent donations have helped transform the learning environments of pupils which is something we are very proud of."
These most recent donations have not only included a 65" or 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreen, the schools have also received WiFi module upgrades, Android functionality, wall mounting brackets and relevant cables, plus delivery, removal / WEEE disposal of old equipment, installation and training, all as part of Soltech IT's donation.
That's around a £3,000 donation at each school or MAT.
From humble beginnings...
On the 16th June 2009, Richard Sheppard registered Soltech IT Ltd with Companies House and life began working from a bedroom and garage selling computer equipment.
By January 2010, Soltech IT was moving in to its first business premises with Adam Lane becoming the companies first employee.
An exciting couple of years saw Soltech IT continue to grow as the company diversified in to supporting local businesses and schools. In February 2012, Adam Lane became Technical Director as the business looked to further capitalise on it's success.
In 2017 Stuart Clark was appointed to the board of directors, with a clear and focused business plan to turn Soltech IT in to a national IT services provider.
Today, Soltech IT is recognised as a leading IT solutions provider to education and business throughout the South West of England and throughout the UK.
Along the way...
Soltech IT has forged a strong professional identity as the IT Support provider that businesses, schools and MAT's turn to.
We've moved to bigger offices on four occasions with another office move imminent. Whilst we also opened a second office in Yeovil, Somerset in 2018.
Soltech IT has become a national IT service provider to Business, Education and Charities. We now work with nationally recognised organisations such as, Costa Coffee, Taylor Wimpey, The Royal British Legion, The University of Oxford and many schools and Multi Academy Trusts throughout the UK.
Over the years we've meet and worked with a few familiar faces including, Alison Edgar, The Entrepreneur's Godmother who regularly seen and heard on the BBC Television and Radio channels, Kevin McCloud from Channel 4's Grand Designs, Mark Wright, winner of the BBC's The Apprentice series 10 and British politician and Member of Parliament Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Throughout the past 10 years we've continued to make charitable donations to schools throughout the South West of England. We've donated in excess of £100,000 IT equipment to schools, including, Computer Curriculum Resources, Laptops, AIO Computers, Visitor Sign In Systems, Servers, Virtual Reality Headsets and much much more.
The Soltech IT team has certainly grown over the years and we've also expanded our range of products and solutions, many of which we have developed and created ourselves.
And we even managed to acquire another IT and Communications company, PC DR Trading Ltd as part of plans to help push Soltech IT towards becoming a national provider with both scale and reach.
