Grant Funding for Education

Gabrielle Cox • Jun 07, 2017

At Soltech IT, we provide help & advice for schools in obtaining grant funding.

At Soltech IT, we aim to help schools with many aspects of their IT, from supplying iPads and MDM (Mobile Device Management) software to affordable broadband solutions and lease printers at £1 per month. An equally important aspect of what we do, is advise and help UK schools gain funding and grants.

Since September 2014, Soltech IT have generated and helped schools gain in excess of £360,000 worth of grant funding. We work with the individual school to look at the areas which need help and therefore which grant sources are the most relevant. We do not just focus on IT or technology issues, having also helped schools with areas such as mini buses & solar panels. Below are just some of the funding and grants our schools are able to benefit from.

1. Children In Need.
Children in Need help fund not-for-profit organisations who work with disadvantaged children (e.g. those suffering from illness, disability, abuse, behavioural difficulties or poverty), including registered charities, churches and schools.
"Soltech informed us about a Children In Need Grant. As a result, we applied and received just under £10,000 from Children In Need to fund play therapy for some of our most emotionally challenged pupils. We have applied for the same funding to continue for the next three years. Fingers crossed…"
