Another Great Year for Soltech IT

2018 is coming to an end and what a year it has been!

Soltech IT has gone from strength to strength this year, we've opened an additional office in Yeovil, Somerset and once again Soltech IT was recognised for the IT services we provide with a national excellence award, whilst we were also nominated for the Chairs Community Award for the charitable donations we provide to schools.

In January 2018 our grant funding services within schools tops £500,000 since it's inception in September 2014. "To have helped schools gain more the half a million pounds in grant funding is amazing and exceeds any expectations we originally had." Said Managing Director, Richard Sheppard

In February 2018, Soltech IT was recognised for it's continued donations of IT equipment to schools and it's community work within education, by being nominated for the Business Award as part of the Chair's Community Awards 2017/18.

In March 2018, we were visited by Jacob Rees-Mogg, Conservative MP for Bath and North East Somerset who was visiting successful and expanding rural businesses, to learn more about the individual businesses and the challenges each face.

April 2018 saw a record number of schools and academy trusts selecting Soltech IT as their onsite ICT support provider. Richard Sheppard, managing Director, discussed "We are fortunate to be in a position where the schools we support, actively recommend our services to other local schools, which I believe says a lot about the high levels of service we provide."

In late May 2018, Costa Coffee became a customer of Soltech IT. "Its especially pleasing to be working with the worlds second largest coffeehouse chain and the largest in the UK." Commented Stuart Clark, Sales Director.

June 2018 saw our financial year come to a close. For the 9th consecutive year significant growth on the previous year was recorded. Nicola Edgerton, Finance Manager, Commented "The 2017/18 financial year reached a new milestone and we are incredibly pleased with the companies performance during this period"

In July 2018, Soltech IT was announced at AI Magazines Global Excellence Awards as the winner of the UK's 'Most Outstanding IT Support Services Firm'. At the time Sales Director, Stuart Clark commented, "We are thrilled to be winners of AI’s 2018 Global Excellence Awards, it is an honour to be recognised as the UK’s Most Outstanding IT Support Services Firm 2018. Credit must be given to our dedicated team who work tirelessly to assist and help our customers, we couldn't be prouder of everyone”

August 2018 saw Soltech IT open an additional office in Yeovil, Somerset. The Yeovil office has proved to be invaluable and combined with our Bristol office has allowed us to provide a higher level of support and service to our clients in the South West.

In September 2018 four new recruits joined the Soltech IT support and installation teams. Technical Director, Adam Lane commented at the time, "With the high demand of new clients looking to take up our support and installation services, it is essential that we ensure we have the resources available to continue to provide the levels of support and service clients expect and need. We are delighted to welcome, Caroline Roper, Matthew Butler, George Stas and Mark Brown to the Soltech team."

October 2018 saw Soltech IT launch a new range of products designed to save money and cut budgets in businesses and schools. These products included VOIP telephony, which has proved to be a big hit with organisations throughout the country. "We've already seen schools and businesses save as much as £12,000 per year by switching to Soltech 's VOIP Telephony solution" commented Sales Executive, Richard Witcombe.

In November 2018, Soltech IT set about donation 500 VR Headsets to schools throughout the South West. As always the donations were warmly received by schools. Donations will continue throughout December and in to the new year, so please let us know if your school would like to receive a donation.

As a successful 2018 comes to an end, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Crosby who will take up the position of Senior Sales Executive at Soltech IT Ltd. Jack's appointment will further assist the evolution and growth of Soltech IT in 2019.
