2025 will see Soltech IT continue to donate IT equipment to school's throughout the Southwest as part of our 'Giving Back To Schools' donation campaign.
We were delighted to be able to donate more than £15,000 of 65" and 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreens to six local schools and MAT's.
Gareth Jones, commented "As a business it's great to be able to give something back to schools, be they a customer or not. Our most recent donations have helped transform the learning environments of pupils which is something we are very proud of."
These most recent donations have not only included a 65" or 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreen, the schools have also received WiFi module upgrades, Android functionality, wall mounting brackets and relevant cables, plus delivery, removal / WEEE disposal of old equipment, installation and training, all as part of Soltech IT's donation.
That's around a £3,000 donation at each school or MAT.
R. W. Mann Trust
Here's another excellent grant funding opportunity for schools.
R. W. Mann Trust
The R. W. Mann Trust, an endowed grant -making Charitable Trust was founded by Dr. R .W. Mann OBE, DCL and his wife Margery in 1957.
The Trust’s objectives are wide ranging but it exists mainly to help improve the lives of people and communities in the North Tyneside, South Northumberland and East Newcastle area of the North East. The Trustees may award grants outside these areas if they believe that a project or group offers exceptional value and is within the Tyne and Wear and South Tyneside areas.
Grants made have varied between regular annual contributions, small one-off donations and grants for capital projects. The Trust has made grants of between £100 and £10,000 but the average size of grant awarded is £1000.
Most of the beneficiaries in recent years have been youth groups (both uniformed and non-uniformed), children, people with disabilities, older people, schools, colleges, councils for voluntary service and other advice agencies.
