2025 will see Soltech IT continue to donate IT equipment to school's throughout the Southwest as part of our 'Giving Back To Schools' donation campaign.

We were delighted to be able to donate more than £15,000 of 65" and 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreens to six local schools and MAT's.

Gareth Jones, commented "As a business it's great to be able to give something back to schools, be they a customer or not. Our most recent donations have helped transform the learning environments of pupils which is something we are very proud of."

These most recent donations have not only included a 65" or 75" Promethean ActivPanel Touchscreen, the schools have also received WiFi module upgrades, Android functionality, wall mounting brackets and relevant cables, plus delivery, removal / WEEE disposal of old equipment, installation and training, all as part of Soltech IT's donation.

That's around a £3,000 donation at each school or MAT.

End of Service Notification “Schools ICT Support” - Soltech IT Stepping In.

Somerset "Schools ICT Support" has issued it's final End of Service Notification, and Soltech IT are stepping up to assist those schools effected.

End of Service Notification for Somerset Council.

We regret to inform you that the School’s ICT Services will cease as of 31st August 2024. Consequently, the Local Authority will no longer be able to support schools with ICT visits and guidance.

Please ensure your school plans to source a new support provider. The new provider should be capable of offering comprehensive support and advice on ICT in Education. Ensure your provider is well-versed in all the DfE and Ofsted requirements for schools, you need this in place before the end of July 2024. So, to ensure you have an overlap of support for a smooth transition. The Schools ICT Support service will not be available after the 31st of August 2024.

Please discuss the safety and appropriate backup of all your school's data with your new ICT provider, as per the stringent DfE requirements. This is a critical aspect that needs your immediate attention.

We kindly request that as soon as you have found a new provider you inform us promptly. This will help us ensure a smooth transition and minimise any potential disruptions.

Can I take this opportunity to thank you for your support and cooperation during this time?
